New Monarchy Rank 3 and Vanquisher VIII
So I was waiting forever to get to Rank 3 for my Vanquisher VIII...
Finally hit Rank 3 today and I have 200 marks saved. Right when I hit rank 3 I went to the mail guy and got a Strange Coin, Mote of Light, AND a random Vanquisher VIII. The problem is this one does NOT have the stability perk.
So do I buy the Vendor Vanquisher VIII from New Monarchy or do I wait until the auto rifle nerf happens to see if this random one is better since when aiming down sight you get increased range. OR do I buy some gear, like gloves/boots, since I'm stuck at level 25 and still have those two pieces as blues.
Random Vanquisher has:
Rangefinder
Flared Magwell (making it max reload), Field Scount (max ammo), Armor Piercing Rounds
Feeding Frezny

Rangefinder and flared magwell is pretty good. I would honestly keep the random one since auto rifle range got nerfed

1 ReplyKeep the field scout! You can get used to recoil eventually. I bought mine but will scrap it for a field scout version.

2 RepliesGet the armor pieces and use your new higher level to get more gear faster. Going from blues to 33 light level gear should put you at maybe 27 right away

I have the same vanq as you, with the max ammo perk etc. I wouldn't bother buying another as it has good perks. Only thing with mine is the sights aren't as good as the one you purchase.

Yours has field scout. That's immensely valuable for an AR, especially in PvE. In PvP you wouldn't want to use an AR anyway.

I would take yours over the vendor sold one. Just learn to compensate for the recoil and use field scout. 22 shots per mag gets rather annoying when you have to reload every other minute.

I would take your V8 over the vendor one. Field scout makes the weapon viable in end game content. Stability doesn't even come close when it comes to improving your overall dps on a 22 magazine auto rifle.

1 ReplyTheres a perk that lets u flinch less under fire that is more useful in pvp than the stability perk, test them out urself. More shots will land where intended Having said that, i have the vanquisher... But found the silverwind d to be a far better gun than the shingen e and vanquisher :x the right perks and sights can make a gun great or better than rares. Ultimately its up to what gun "feels" right for u.

2 RepliesGet gear to raise your level. Once you get 26 you can do the raid and get better weapons than anything the vendors sell.
