"Use Void Damage to defeat Guardians in Crucible. Death will slow your progress"
Does anyone have any tips for doing this step in Thorn quest line? I just find it ridiculous how hard it is to do this when everyone is comfortable running around in their primaries while I'm forced to use crappy Void Fusion Rifle, or Heavy weapon which I never have ammo for. And I also want to mention that I'm not good at multiplayer so yeah...
How are people completing this quest? Or should I just abandon since I'm reading that Thorn is not very good anyways...

Use a void Fusion rifle, if u can't 1-shot your enemy, switch to Atheon's Epilogue to finish the kill. AE sucks to try and kill ppl with so only use it as a finishing wep. Use Truth if u have it or a good void MG, Corrective Measures does pretty well. Just grind it out guardian, good luck.

Thorn is amazing it is crazy good! Just grab a fusion rifle and dive into free for all. I honestly didn't think the thorn bounty was that hard

Get a better void fusion rifle... "crappy" and fusion rifle shouldn't be used in the same sentence. People run around using those things the whole match and come out on top most of the time

If you're not good enough to do thé bounty good. Too many op thorns in pvp anyway. Such an easy weapon to use.

Go to rumble. I finished that bounty quick because I was a jackass running around with a void shotgun the entire time. It was boring but at least I have the thorn now.

All you have to do is keep your k/d above .5 each match. Kills are 5 points deaths are -2 points. It was easy as -blam!- for me. I finished it in under an hour.

Edited by TheLastWerewolf: 1/28/2015 6:22:57 PMYou could go the cheesiest of cheese routes, if you have friends who play as well, get 3 or more - ideally 6, together and run rumble, have them let you kill them with void and agree to only kill any non fireteam players. It's kinda lame i know, but it should make the crucible portion of Thorn's bounty go very fast, it'll just leave u feeling dirty afterwards... lol.

Atheons Epilogue, Word of Crota, or just any decent charge rate fusion rifle with solar, or if you're good enough you could try Praedyths revenge

"shitty fusion rifle", hmmm I honestly don't think I've ever heard that before. Congratulations you're the first. I used a peruns fire fusion rifle, and a void jolders hammer lmg, and finally aetheon epilouge at times ( not much)... I got it in 10 games 11 max

8 RepliesPlay VOG and hope for one of the weapon drops like Corrective Measure (a beast in the crucible) and buy The Calming fusion rifle - also heavy ammo always drops in the same spots, if you hear "heavy ammo inbound" then immediately run to one of those spots so you don't miss out - it's first come first serve. Lastly, only play Control, players are usually preoccupied with capturing zones and once you learn the maps you can learn the paths from zone to zone - for players who aren't too great at the crucible Control offers the best chance to have a decent k/d and a better chance for kills.

If you have Atheon's Epilogue it's super easy. Just get a fireteam together, and play either rumble or control. Play it safe and pick your gun fights wisely. As long as you get at bare minimum a 1.0 kill/death. Your still making progress

Rumble with your friends. You should be able to complete that part of the bounty in a couple matches.
