dismantling exotic armor

1 ReplyIts sad but think you get the same as when you dismantle a legendary. I think I got 2-3 from the exotic helmet I dismantled a while ago, I just recently dismantled some legendary boots and got 2. I would figure you should get 5 or so, but meh.

I got 2 for exotic Titan helm earlier, originally from one of Xur's engrams. I have noticed though, for any legendary gear I buy just for the purpose of breaking down for shards I'll always go for the chest piece as it's always given me 3 shards.

2-3. mostly 2. dismantled 5 exotic helm to get shards to reach 29. i know its a wastw but i can get it back

Same as legendary. I have dismantled 3 exotic armor pieces and gotten 3 shards each time
