I've heard activision didn't allow bungee to release the full story, and that they actually had a good story set up for the game. Do you have any info on that? I've also heard the dlc is going to be part of the main storyline.

DLC was [i]always[/i] going to further the story-line and add to it, we've known that pretty much since day one. Bungie has pretty frequently brought up how they plan for Destiny to stretch on as a franchise for at [i]least[/i] ten years and expansion packs/DLC was one of the things they mentioned as well as official sequels. And anything you've heard about original stories or Bungie withholding story or Activision stopping them from publishing the story is nothing but conspiracy theories like what you would normally see cooked up by the usual tinfoil hat wearers. Nothing has ever confirmed it as anything but rumors people have created.

I knew they were planning on expanding and I know dlc was always going to be part of the story but I can't imagine the original plan was to make the story as shitty as they did.

I'm actually not suprised for some reason... And for the DLC, that's exactly what grinds my gears! They're going to sell the story all over again in packs of $30.00 dollars, $40.00 dollars! Lol, that is just silly. They should have put a warming on the box that read something like this: SATISFACTION SOLD SEPARATELY. But yeah I've heard that activision a contract required them to sell the story at a later date, it makes me think that destiny would be better if funded by Microsoft, but I'm no expert.
