The planets were terraformed to be similar to Earth during the golden age thus altering the original gravity of planets to be able to support human life. (Is my hypothesis)

Mine too, actually. Right now if you had kids on Mars they could not return to Earth without some kind of extensive and lengthy gravity training. Mars has 1/3 the gravity of Earth, and their bones would be too weak after their lethargy on Mars. Mainly I want Bungie to say something about it. It's not my job to write their story.
