Any of you guys have a good way to get ascending shards?

3 RepliesBungie patched getting shards from the queens gear so if you dismantle them you don't get shards

try dismantle legendary weapons that you will dont use. This the fastest way to obtain a lot of them. Ocassionaly they coming from strikes and crucible.

I been doing those queen missions and breaking down the armor for shards

I definitely seem to pick one up every couple public events. Must be my lucky day received three legendary helmets all lesser than the one I already have. Broke them down and received 2 shards a helmet, Not sure about any other gear as far as breaking it down.

Edited by ausher: 9/23/2014 9:21:54 PMI did two public events and postmaster had one for me. Turned in a legendary engram and got two more. One more and I can finish upgrading my helmet. Only need 61 now :)

1 ReplySaw a stream last night and a guy said he got his by dismantling legendary or exotic gear. Not sure how he ended up with a surplus of those items, but I have to hang on to the few items I have right now.

Good luck!!!! I've been stuck on level 25 for 4 days now and thats putting a minimum of 5hrs a day into it. I've done countless public events, bounties, anf just about everything else I can think of and not one shard has been found. It's getting pretty frustrating but im gonna keep on plugging away. Not much else to do. :-(

7 RepliesI got one yesterday by doing a public event. My understanding is that you can get one a day that way. Other than that, I am looking for answers as well.
