New content coming soon. In the meantime you could upgrade your gear. Can't you get to level 30?

Yea I know the new content is coming, and I can't wait for it, but Once I hit about level 28 there's nothing to different from a level 28 to a level 30. I would maybe try and do it if there were new missions and what not, but I don't want to play the same missions over, and over just to gain 2 levels which doesn't really change to much in the long run.

I'm anticipating a level increase with the DLC. I think the sooner we get to 30 the better. At this point, you're right though. You just have to play for the enjoyment of the game.
