26 titan here aswell, I feel the need for bungie to let me shoot from inside of my bubble for PvE and PvP benefits. Or give a bit of a poison effect for anyone who enters my shield. Nothing to major, just lower their health for each second inside my shield. There is a difference between a shield and a purple environment where I can get killed by shotguns and other supers while having a mediocre buff to health.
That being said, it brings a tear to my eye when I meet an opposing titan in the crucible with his shield and my fist of havoc and I rain death on him while he is "safe" in his violet bubble.

Hah! This is similar to what I've heard from every friend I've played with who are new to the game and first learn about the defender's ward of dawn. "I can make a shield." "Oh, that's frickin' cool!" "You can't shoot out of it." "Oh. That's... much less cool. So what's it good for?" "Temporary place to hide, basically. I can make it spill out orbs if it gets shot, but it's capped at 3." "Is that a lot?" "Compared to what the sunsinger and blade-dancer can pull out? No. No, it's not."
