There are a huge amount of players on all platforms experiencing extreme network issues, myself included. Now I don't know what the problem is...my nat is open and every other game played well but yet destiny gives me and many others a tour of the zoo.
Time to start answering Bungie while the players are still interested.
The game has been out one week. Halo 3 brought down xbox live to an unplayable state for over a month for some. Kids these days! Have you not learned from the launch of every single popular videogame ever that network issues are usually caused by massive amounts of players clogging the network?

Like that's an excuse dude. How about don't launch until it works properly. Idiots these days
-
shut your hole dude, as if that is an acceptable answer or excuse for this horseshit. are you kidding or just a fu(khead?
-
I agree with u completely

Reportedly, the next gen consoles, were going to have thousands more servers allocated to online play so that network issues would be a thing of the past. It's a fair expectation that games would have network issues ironed out in 2014.
-
Thank you! Seriously what happened to that promise? Still waiting........
-
I don't know why but I haven't had any problems at all. It's played great for me on xbox one
-
Thats a statement uttered every single year. Compared to other launches I've been a part of, this ones been noticeably better. Thats not to say there are no issues, and those with issues have my deepest sympathy (even though thats worth nothing to em...)

It's a fair expectation that games would have network issues ironed out in 2014.
Thing is, game launches are becoming less and less broken as time goes on. Like I said before, halo 3 brought xbl to it's knees with network traffic. This game really isn't that bad. Yes it sucks when your buddy gets dropped from crucible and your team loses his score and you lose the match as a result. But occasional drops and network issues aren't a broken game and people look like idiots when they start yelling about how they "PAID MONEY!!!!!!!!" for the game. For all you know, maybe they did add servers. Are you a network systems expert? Have you considered that even after they did actual stress testing in beta (unlike some betas which are actually just paid demos..*cough*battlefield*cough* ) that maybe... just maybe... it still wasn't enough? It's still only been a week, we've seen a patch already (which never would have happened in last gen, as you said, it is 2014 after all.) And the game isn't even in bad shape for the majority of players... Also, I'm on ps4. I can't speak for xbone. My coworkers seem to be doing fine though and haven't mentioned much. Just be patient and be glad we aren't dealing with the launches of yesterday's games.
-
Dude its not an occasional drop. I can't even get past lvl 9 because of this. Every time I get to the boss battle on the 3rd moon mission, crash. And I loose all the shit I acquired up to that point. Its bull shit. Don't launch until shits right
-
Yes I remember H3....kids? I'm probably older than you and my point is they are keeping to quiet about it rather than communicating with the players....now if your so content on fighting the world from the safety of your keyboard at least learn what point us being portrayed first before jumping the sharp keys. Because you might just get hurt

They're working on it. Cool your little jets, it'll be fixed soon. Go read a book or something.
-
And like bungie said the patch is a WORK IN PROGRESS!
-
The game has been patched, and for what? A bunch of university students rather than the larger community which is vastly more important. Bungie has not addressed what they are doing. Stop defending them. This problem was around during the beta and they still released the game. I paid $60 for a game I cannot play. Do NOT say Bungie will fix it. You're not a prophet. Until Bungie has addressed what they are going to do in order to rid us of these networking issues, I am returning the game. Bungie failed to communicate with it's community, which only shows how unprofessional they are. It also shows me that they don't give a shit about us. It's all about the money. Always is.

The game has been out one week, this isn't a situation where we've been waiting months on end with no word. Talk about first world problems, your videogame has network issues in week two after launch, oh my god, it's the end of the world. I don't have energy to deal with you whiners anymore. You have completely unrealistic expectations of what the world owes you. Let me be the one to break the bad news to you: nobody owes you anything. I don't know how people like you guys even exist. Life isn't fair. You don't always get what you deserve. Did you deserve a fully functional videogame? Of course you did! But to act like bungie is conspiring to screw you over and ruin your experience is paranoid, entitled and bratty. You're gonna look pretty silly when the patch rolls out and you've spent so much time being mad about something that is par for the course.
-
Apparently somebody hasn't heard of a beta. The game may officially be out now, however, a beta exists for a reason and that is to test the game. Problems like this should had never made it out of the beta.
-
Once again you take what you have jumped the gun to believe I said to be the point. My point is there ignoring the fan base by advising us its our problem not theirs and to look to each other to fix it rather than for Bungie to do so.
-
But heres the thing - for some people it IS their problem. Advising people on how they should be set up fixes it for those in that position, for those screwed anyway it goes without saying they are working on it. Did you miss the article in the news section on this very site about the guy working on connection issues? Yeah, total silence there, not one ounce of 'we are working on it'. Nope. :p
