Well the game is polished, plays great but has no story - I can live with that for now - but I am not willing to give Bungie a pass on that. This one they need to take on the chin and fix. Soon.

What about titanfall does that have a better story? To me online only games your journey building up your character through all the different game modes is the story.

Titanfall is NOT a good game in my mind and was never sold as containing story - just PvP with Mechs and they never promised anything else.

Ive never played it myself I just think destiny is closer to titanfall being a fully online fps than an RPG. Basically in my opinion if you brought this game expecting a good story in week one you have missed the point of what bungie is trying to do. In a years time all the haters are going to look back and say " I was silly to think I would experience everything this game has to offer in a week"

Edited by Shiva: 9/18/2014 2:13:31 AMI am not expecting them to one off this game - not at all - but given the quality of the rest of the game the story and lack there of and poor manner of conveying the story makes that part of the game, a BIG chunk of it (look at your location maps again - LOTS of story nodes) very disappointing. It was supposed to be story driven and they have hyped the hell out of the story. So I expected a solid introduction but received a thin draft outline of a story and was left with a story that was entirely forgettable. Its a good loot grind FPS with RPG elements, its just not a story driven game at this point which it certain gives the appearance of and raises that expectation. If you have played the Halo series then you know that Bungie can do much better even with a short piece of story. Not expecting a long story - just a quality one told well and didn't get it.
