A slightly different take...maybe we were once allies? Maybe before they fell, they were the Guardians of the Light, and when humanity ascended to the stars with the help of the Traveller we found them as well...but when the Darkness came, something happened to turn them against us, to cause fall back to Earth, and their own disgrace into Fallen?

They do seem very resentful of us don't they? There's a Grimoir card in the form a Dreg's salvage diary and it seems quite taken with a item that radiates " Warm Memories" I think it was? He sounds a little jeaous of that.

I'll have to find that one...I've also heard that the Cabal seem to really hate us, but are also running away from something we don't know of yet...unless they aren't working for the Darkness?
