I might have found a fix. Go to your ISP setting and turn off any filter you might have and activate P2P if it is not already done.
It worked for a lot of people in Japan who had NTT as their ISP

No Im in Australia tried changing the UPnP settings, turned off the fire walls & filters & nothings worked

you only get the caterpillar error? when exactly?

Every 5-10mins. I can't do the first mission after the tutorial because it drops me out after I deploy the ghost on the first objective.

Did you allow P2P on your connection?

Nah I haven't tried that. Will give it a go when I get home

That might be the problem. that solved many caterpillar problems in Japan with Ntt.
