The Alpha Lupi was some kind of promo event that only occurred for a short amount of time. If you dig enough through the forums there have been other posts about it.. You pretty much had to be there for the event to receive the reward.

I was there. My question is what the exact criteria is for earning the emblem. Bungie doesn't know every single person who ever accessed that site, so there must be some other way of tracking who participated.

Presumably it would be people that followed the Alpha Lupi account before a certain cutoff date. That's around 1000 people.

Someone else said that too, it is a likely way of tracking. Alpha Lupi has 1188 followers, so it might end up being a very exclusive emblem.
