Thanks for all of this hard work, but I'm afraid that it simply doesn't matter (trust me, I really wish it did)!! Basically, even though the Bungie servers are on and ready, the retailers are the ones with the final say of when we get to play. Those of us who purchased the Digital Guardian edition (myself included), won't get to sign on to the Bungie server until 12AM PST. Essentially, think of PSN as a "retailer" and they are holding off access to Bungie's servers until 12 AM PST. Now, if you're on the east coast or somewhere other than PST and you go out and buy the physical disk, theoretically you can sing on to Bungie's servers before 12 AM PST. HOWEVER! This is only true if PSN doesn't lock out both digital and physical game access to Bungie's servers until 12AM PST. I'm thinking that unfortunately, this is the case. In other words, whether you buy digital or physical, you won't be able to access Bungie's servers until 12AM PST. I could be wrong here, so community, please correct me if I'm wrong. I don't have enough info or have been paying enough attention to the xb1 side of things, so again, someone with more info would give you a better answer/explanation.

I do believe at 12am PST is when Xbox and PSN are going to active the license of the digital downloads and thus allow them to connect to the servers. However physical copies of the games would already have their licenses activated meaning they're good to go as soon as the servers are.

If ordered from gamestop, this will be true. They set the time u can actually start to download at midnight 9/9 according to ur time zone

My timer after preloading Destiny earlier today said 3 days 13 hrs. But doesn't that put me on the 8th?

My pre-order of Destiny says it will be available to play on 9/8/14. If I go to the download section on my P3 not the PSN Store.

Looks like those of us (including myself) are paying a price for going digital... From the source linked above, "Both Sony and Microsoft list their respective digital versions of Destiny as being playable “starting midnight PST,” or at 3:01 a.m. ET on September 9." Now, whether or not that holds true, is another matter. I thought I'd have to wait another 2 days before Destiny got pre-loaded onto my PS4, but it's there with the Vanguard Armory already, read to go. _Ohuigin

What if you are an American living in Europe, and thus have pre purchased and downloaded the US digital guardian copy, but are physically located in Germany?

IGN having a live-stream on September 8 10AM PDT, If you have a psychical copy you will be able to play it on 9/8.
