I don't think MM players want it to be easier they just want MM. Some people have a lot of anxiety when it comes to chatting with a stranger. IMO

but u dont think matchmaking via strikes and crucible is enough? They are also trying to encourage people to explore what clans have to offer. It is quite the experience to be a part of a group of people you click with.

This ^^^ plus forums would bury a thread of raid goer hunting before 5 people get to look at it, combined with not wanting to be that guy spamming everybody I find with messages or requests.

I think they want us to use the gestures to signal people to join. Kinda dumb.
