You know #2 is a terrible argument right? Why would the government need to silence anyone who has 'the truth' about 9/11 or even alien contact? No-one would take anyone claiming such things seriously, regardless of how much evidence they had; you'd have to be a seriously influential person for more than a bunch of x-files geeks to take you seriously. Killing or silencing one of these people just brings more attention to their story, which is exactly the opposite of what the govt would want. Not that I'm taking the 'truthers' side here; it's just a shitty argument.
