There is an option to upgrade to PS4 or XB1 for free until Jan 2015 only if you buy PS3 or 360 digital

I think that option is really unfair. I mean... What about people who are going to buy the limited or ghost edition?

Well... I think the best will be to allow the people that pay the expensive stuff download the digital version of the other console... say you got the physicall for PS4 allow the people to get digital PS3 and vice-versa. Doing that, trust is 100% gained and for sure people will keep supporting the game for any expansion Bungie release from now until 20 years :D

With the physical, you have a disc which can be shared. On digital, you have the product tied to the account. As such, they are only offering it for digital upgrade. It's still a nice gesture. Some people will be screwed, but it's a deal they did with Microsoft and Sony, not gamestop. Moreover, you can always cancel your physical preorder and get the digital. It works for me because I got the ps3 version to play with friends. I bought a ps4 specifically for this game, so this gives me the best of both worlds. Now my os4 won't just collect dust.
