Hello Deej. I just read the update, and am excited about the gap closing to launch. But, I must admit, part of the update has saddened me. Specifically, the Sack
SUDDOTH2: Will Changing my Gamertag after the beta is over affect my Emblem that I get for playing?
- I asked The Wolf. He said:
"Changing my Gamertag" can mean two different things. If you use the Xbox Live feature to rename your Gamertag and keep the account, you're all set. If you link your Bungie.net login to a different Xbox Live account, your Beta reward won't persist.
This was a sort of bearing weight thrust upon me. As it occurred; I participated in the Beta on my XBox 360, not the PlayStation 4 I have preordered at the local Gamestop. Due to the nature of this answer, I became increasingly aware that my Beta emblem is jeopardized.
So now I ask; If I were to link my PSN ID to my Bungie.net account, would the Beta emblem also apply to the newly linked PSN ID?

Oh no what will you do without your beta emblem.

I would guess no. I had both ps3 and 360 in the beta, and I remember signing on to both that day because the emblem would be based on the account that signed on not the bungie.net profile. The gamertag/psn name can change because it doesn't actually change the underlining account ID.
