Its highly plausible that there will be third subclasses, and that they will be based on the element each class currently does not wield (Void-Hunter, Arc-Warlock, Solar-Titan). This thread's purpose is to speculate about/make wishes for what we think those could be.
That being said, I think it'd be cool if the third subclasses worked as follows:
Titan- Berserker: The Berserker's best defense is a strong and wild offense, fighting recklessly to maximize attack potential. (All-out attack)
<>Melee- Immolate: Ignites enemy upon contact.
<>Super- Flare Burst: The Berserker is engulfed in Solar Light, and blitzes forwards, crashing through and burning any enemies. Think Falcon Kick. (Single Use)
<>Jump upgrade- Giant's Leap: Pressing jump once prepares the jump, and a second press launches the Berserker extremely high in the air. A quick doubletap is optimal. This is intended to increase mobility for travel and combat.
<>Grenades- Frag Grenade: Standard explosive grenade + Shrapnel
Napalm Grenade: Explodes and drops a field of burning napalm on the ground
Incendiary Grenade: Explodes and inflicts burns on enemies
Hunter- Specialist: The Specialist is cunning, and a master of environment manipulation with their use of traps and explosives. Why rush after prey like a fool, when you can let it do the work and come to you? (Explosives expert/Trapper)
<>Melee- Microcharge: Contact places a weak explosive on the enemy that detonates after 3 seconds. (If you die before then, charge dissipates.)
<>Super- Remote Singularity: The Specialist lobs a sticky bomb onto a target (enemy, ally, or terrain). Another press of the Super button detonates the bomb, rapidly imploding everything in its AoE. (Timer: After time runs out, bomb dissipate)
<>Jump upgrade- Blink: As we know it and love it. This is prime for getting in and out of conflict quickly.
<>Grenades- Concussion Grenade: Disorients enemies by blurring vision and muddling sound. (PvE confusion effect: enemies might attack each other)
Homing Grenade: Does less damage, but curves towards target.
Remote Mine: Can only be placed in ground/walls, but is only visible to the Specialist. Press grenade button again to detonate.
Warlock- Stormcaller: The Stormcaller is a master of Arc Light, using its power to destroy enemies and bend them to his will. (CC master)
<>Melee- Polarity Switch: Decreases enemy movement/recovery speed and increases yours.
<>Super- Chain Lightning: The Stormcaller plants themselves and looses a stream of lightning at enemies, chaining up to 5 and slowing them down, doing damage for each second they are attacked. (Timer+Drain: When not being used, Super bar slowly drains away)
<>Jump upgrade- Arc Grapnel: Stormcaller launches a dense chain of Arc Light to pull themselves towards an object.
<>Grenades- Vampire Grenade: When stuck to enemies, it slowly drains health and slows them down.
Tripwire: Launches a tripwire at an enemy, snaring them and bringing them down for 3 seconds
Longbolt: Ranged bolt of electricity that can damage and stun enemies.
Now that that's done, tell me what you think or post your own ideas/speculations/hopes and dreams

4 RepliesWarlock -- Sparkrunner Super -- Tesla Field -- shroud yourself in Arc energy, boosting movement speed and enhancing Glide. Enemies entering within a certain radius are struck by a discharge of lightning, causing massive damage and a stun effect. One upgrade extends the mobility bonus to nearby allies and another increases weapon damage while active. Melee -- Discharge -- Unleash a surge of electricity, overloading enemy weapon and HUD systems. Applies a flashbang effect on the victim that also jams their weapon. Can be upgraded to chain to nearby enemies or cause a damaging backfire when enemies attempt to fire their weapon. Jump -- Glide -- Unique Upgrade: Static Field: surround yourself with an electric field while airborne, hiding yourself from sensors. Grenades: -Magnet Bomb -- throw a grenade that tracks towards the target. The grenade bursts into metal shrapnel on impact, which bombards the nearest target. -Tesla Mine -- throw a grenade that sticks to any surface. Enemies entering the mine's radius are struck with a damaging bolt of electricity; enemies struck with a bolt have a 3-second timer before they can be struck again. Mine lasts for one minute, but can be destroyed by enemies, or will self-destruct if another grenade is thrown. -Chaff Grenade -- throw a grenade that scatters a cloud of electrified chaff over a wide area when it strikes any surface. Chaff rapidly drains enemy shields, but does not cause health damage. Chaff also causes random jams in afflicted enemies weapons and disrupts their HUD. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Titan -- Engineer Super -- Solar Seekers -- summon a quartet of drones that orbit around you and attack nearby enemies with bolts of Solar light. Drones persist until destroyed, but cannot be healed by any means. One upgrade causes Drones to aggressively seek nearby enemies and self-destruct before death. Melee -- Aggressor -- strike the target with a fiery melee. Enemies hit with Aggressor are orbited by a small drone that inhibits shield regeneration and movement speed for 10 seconds. Drone will attack enemies near the afflicted target with a weak shock attack. Drone cannot be destroyed, but will disappear if Aggressor is used again. Jump -- Lift -- Unique Upgrade: Afterburner: produce a burst of flame when Lift is activated, damaging and igniting enemies caught in the blast. Grenades: -Incendiary Mine -- deploy a mine which detonates and ignites nearby enemies when its laser-tripwire is triggered. -Shield Pylon -- deploy a pylon that periodically restores the shields of nearby allies. Enemies near the pylon receive a damaging shock. -Demolition Charge -- deploy a powerful bomb that sticks to any surface. The bomb is manually detonated by tapping the grenade button again, causing massive damage over a wide area.

Alright! Titan: Destroyer Complete annihilation through fire and wrath. Grenade: Frag - high damage aoe nuke. Napalm - damage dealing area denial. Mass Ejection - single projectile seeking nuke. Movement: Lunge - quickly move in the direction you are facing. Greater directional control Double Lunge Blazing Forth - leave behind a trail of fire which sets targets which move through it on fire. Super: Mantle of Wrath - summon three projectiles which shoot forward and target the nearest foe. Greater Projectile Movement Speed Submunitions - summon 5 projectiles which deal reduced damage. Consume - killing a target with Mantle reduced the cooldown on grenade and melee. Melee: Jet - shot a cone of flame at range. Greater range and aoe. Ignite - jet sets targets ablaze. Fuel the Fire - killing a target with jet dramatically reduces its cooldown.

5 RepliesTitan subclass: Exon VI The Exon VI is the bio mechanical armor (mech) nicknamed Husk to help Titans endure the harshest elements. It's a well armored unite that slows it's users mobility to increase his or her defense. Exon VI is formed around the body and take shape as hulking, slightly taller ground unite. The Husk you now see is capable of operating fully like you would normally do ... except weapon switching and pass large obstacles. The first to take field was Exon III as a Exo heavy salvaging device. Then later upgraded for use on most fields. Specials: Husk Form the full husk around you, similar to summoning vehicle spawning look but auto entered since it is built around you. Great if cornered, vs a enemy horde, or endure in a open field. The Husk needs to be fully charged and the form shares your shield and Special energy as a health bar. Also your zoom and trigger will be replaced with Left Hook and Melee charge. To break manually hold the special buttons. Melee: Iron Driver The Iron Driver is a powerful melee attack that can be used in or out of Husk. Out of the Husk you strike the enemy with a fast formed Husk "pile driver" arm and quickly rested. At full charge or in the Husk you lounge at the enemy with the "pile driver" and the drill shoots out for range and piercing (length of a sword). Grenade: VI-M60 VI-M60 is the most useful piece of this class in or out of the Husk. It can be loaded with the preferable grenade set and most known for the velocity + range. When your out of of your husk. Then fully charge you grenade slots your left arm will form a husk left arm and shoot a grenade. While in you wait to charge then shoot. Grenade A: Cluster Wreck Decrease length and velocity for a busting grenade of three smaller versions making a huge AOE. Grenade B: Slugger glue Shoot a high length and high velocity grenade that sticks for 2 seconds and explodes with small AOE. Grenade C: Porta Rocket Shoot a slow rocket that has high length and medium AOE. Jump: VI Short Burst A quick burst jump to reach the Titans goal and very weak compared to other jumps, with medium glide. While in Husk it's a smaller jump and glide boost. Special plus: Charge Holding the the shooting button while in husk allows you to sprint and charge at the enemy but the cost of your Specail. Stats: Lighten Lighten your husk so you can be faster and reach heights smoother but sacrifice your defense. Stats: Bulk Beef up your husk and your husk. Stats: Rounded Balance out your attributes. References and notes Halo infamous "Hunter" was inspired into this subclass. The mech is mostly broken for travel and won't cause huge issues in unfairness. The mech is very weak against far away enemies but never should be confronted close and personal. Might be a tad to much to ask but worth a try.

Coming back to the thread to update eventually, the possibility of a third class way after launch isn't ruled out yet

8 RepliesAlright... Doing this via mobile so we will see how this works... Hunter: Jester subclass Deception and Cunning Grenade: Smoke Bomb - nothing special here, simply creates visual area denial. Perhaps tracks enemy movement within. Tanglefoot Bag - anyone cause in the non-lethal blast are slowed. Jack in the box - similar to a mine, but will instead shoot any nearby opponent until it runs out of ammo. Movement: Displacement - the Jester may either hold down the A button to avoid jumping or jump to activate this ability. The Jester's image becomes distorted and seems to be in multiple places at once. Hop - similar to doublejump but harder to track in combination with Displacement. Increased Displacement Duration - self explanatory. Speed Boost - activation Displacement increases the Jesters Agility temporarily. Super: Void Mirror - the Jester creates an image of themselves to follow their every movement. This image deals reduced damage to targets. Explosive Decoy - the image explodes upon being destroyed or banished. Disappear - the Jester creates multiple images which run away in random directions while the Jester become Invisible for a short period. Painful Illusion - the Jester's Image deals additional damage to targets. Melee: Disorient - the target is barraged by false images and lights (epileptic warning goes here). Corrode - the target suffers additional Void damage over time. Weaken - the target's armor is reduced for a short period. Hit & Run - killing a target reduces the cooldown of all abilities.

1 ReplyFinally, Warlock: Schism Caller Keep the enemy at range. Destroy them. Grenade: Bottle of Lightning - deal incredible damage in a ling ranged line. Trip Wire Neural Shock - grenade explodes on impact, dealing damage, slowing, and disorienting. Movement: Polarization - pull self in the direction the Warlock os currently facing. Greater Pull - distance pulled is increased. Safety Net - immunity to fall damage. Double Pull Super: Tempest - Throw a ball of violent Arc energy which travels slowly in a line dealing aoe damage to anyone nearby. Greater Mobility - Tempest travels faster and to greater range. Greater AoE - effects a larger area. Infectious Energy - Tempest deals reduced damage but deals damage over time to anyone caught in the aoe. Anyone who comes into contact with an infected target become infected themselves. Melee: Push - targets are thrown off their feet from the Warlock. Greater Push - the target is moved back a larger distance. Discharge - Push instead deals Arc damage in an aoe Cone. Energize - Push charges the target with volatile energy which explodes after a short period.

3 RepliesWarlock- quantum weaver The ability to literally warp space and time. Grenade - singularity, causes a black hole to appear and end the game, causing a re-load back into orbit 1 hr cd Super - slow time, causes everything in the world and pvp to move slow except the warlock, if another warlock is slowed and uses his super he breaks the effect of the other warlocks, so only allowing the warlocks to run 100% speed. Melee - quantum punch, using a melee on another guardian causes the warlocks fist to bend space and time, reach through the monitor/TV and slap the player. Jump - quantum leap, when jumping, the warlock can inhabit other guardians and steal their quantum energy deleting the other players guardian and gaining an instant lvl up regardless of cap, double lvls from hunter 😄

2 RepliesEdited by regjonnoj2: 8/18/2014 9:49:39 PMWarlock: Corruptionist Focus- "Brain Washing" Element Focus- Arc Super: "Corruption"- Warlock launches a bolt of particle energy that impacts an enemy, enemy is "corrupted" by the energy and begins to fight for player by fighting its allies. Affects captains temporarily. If no enemies remain enemy returns to fighting player. Bosses are unaffected. PvP enemy players are temporarily affected for about 60 seconds or until killed by players allies or enemy team. (Upgraded)- permanently affects captains until no enemies remain. (Bosses are still unaffected.) (Upgraded)- bolt of "Brain Washing" chains up to three targets. (Upgraded)- affected enemies disintegrate instead of regaining their original mental state. Grenades: Lightning Grenade- Player throws an arc element impact grenade Immensely damaging shielding Swarm Grenade- Similar to the Warlocks Voidwalker second grenade except for it splits instantly after leaving the players hand, more fragments than other version. EMP Grenade- PvE: Stuns Enemies and forces them to reload "Communications" are also disabled in blast radius. PvP: Radar and HUD are disabled, "Fuzz" appears on player's screen gun is jammed until reloaded. Misc Upgrades: -Grenades drift towards targets - Player gains 30-50% more shielding - Massive increased resistance to elemental types BUT can take larger amounts of damage from kinetic based damage Movement upgrade: Glide: As you know it. Updraft: Gliding has more upwards movement. Sky Blink: Teleports player to the peak of the glide instantly (where the player would be if they did not have Sky Blink.) What do ya think comrades? Be honest. Any other name ideas? It sounds truly evil : >.<

8 RepliesTitan- Paladin (solar class) Hunter- Prowler (void) Warlock- Stormcaller (arc) The Titan's Paladin solar subclass would be a more healing-basex support, who uses his attacks to crush opponents and simultaneously heal allies. The Hunter's Prowler void subclass would be more stealthy and about subtelty. Using the void as a shadowy cloak as he stalks his next unsuspecting target. The Warlock's Stormcaller arc subclass would be based around massive AOE damage in small, but lethal bursts of destruction, electrocuting and vaporizing enemies with the power of an old god. (Zeus)

The concept of acquiring the third sub-class by Reaching the vault of glass sounds profoundly unique...and Would make sense to the alusive way the Devs have been talking of the Vault of glass...that would be an amazing loot find for accomplishing haha...as long as there's other goodies to help keep replayability of the raid high ^-^

Thanks for a shout out...and your deeper/creative description is reaally good as well...

2 RepliesSo... In looking over the various ideas, im seeing some similarities between Supers which already exist namely the Sunsinger. We need to remember that all supers need to be unique both in effect and in relation to their class. Ergo, we has a solar ability that deals high precision damage and one that buffs the user. We have two arch abilities that are close quarters one of which is aoe and one that is at melee range. Finally, we have a ranged aoe nuke void and a defensive support void ability. Thus, the titans solar ability shouldnt be a buff or precision. But it must also not be close ranged and we should avoid aoe. This ability should be similar to the Arc Blade with the range of the Nova Bomb. The Hunter's Void ability needs to be a support ability as both of their previous abilities have been pure offense. It must also not be an aoe nuke or team buffing. Thus, a self buff like the Sunsinger without the damage output. So, stealth or a decoy similar to Mass effect. Finally the Warlock arc ability cannot CANNOT be close range. Or a nuke. It could be damage over time and ranged, like throwing a thunderstorm in a direction.

The new hunter subclass is a boogey man, the warlock subclass is Dr. Thunderchocolate and the Titan subclass is basically Solaire from Dark Souls. http://blog-imgs-44.fc2.com/h/i/n/hinokurumars/201111020116420ea.jpg

Hunter Dentist or Hunter Barback would be so awesome.

4 RepliesThese ideas are all inceredible and well thought out...Kudos haha ^-^ Only change I would like is that The titan's super in your proposed sub-class mimiced a similar approach as the hunters Blade-dancer where the titan enters third person and has a certain duration of time where he can melee/bash the fook out of enemies swith solar energy...would be Amazing haha as I covet the bladedancer skill tree so hard hahaha...other than that these are incredible... Didn't even think the third subclass would utilize the one energy not present, very smart you haha...makes a third sub-class that much more probable ^-^

I love these ideas!! Omg!!

2 RepliesI'm curious about how it will be unlocked. Vault of glass, perhaps? I think the final set of badass subclasses could be a fitting reward for "The Ultimate Challenge." It would be cool to see some more darkness based weaponry, or some kind of sinister side to these Guardians. They are undead, after all. I just realized how similar the story could be to the lore of Darksouls.
