There's a difference between ignoring the novels (Which they unfortunately did do) and briging shitty characters from said novels into the games (Which they fortunately didn't do)

I just don't like the "blandness" of most of the S-II characters (Blue and Red mostly), and the recent u-turn the quality levels took of the Halo 4 campaign. If say, this trailer had revealed that Glory Of A Far Dawn would show up, or Tom and Lucy, or Gamma team then I'd be hyped as shit for this
