Yeah I've seen that idea tossed around too. And it would be better than nothing. But I like the idea of walking up to a couple guys, maybe in the middle of a big event or something, and just being able to talk to them without the need for five different chat requests. [i]No one [/i] is going to take the time to do that in the middle of a firefight. And if you randomly see something funny, instead of being able to just laugh with the people around you, you would have to chat request every one of them and be like "hey...that was funny wasn't it..." So awkward. I think proximity chat would function fine, just have the option to toggle it off if you don't want it, or mute the occasional troll, because I doubt it would be so rampant as some people suggest. And they could also include your idea for the people who don't want proxy chat
