Proximity chat would be awesome! It would be awesome to be able to jump into a fight and suddenly be coordinating with a random player who you decided to help. However, I understand there are some players who would rather not listen to other players, and that there are some players who abuse proximity by screaming in the mics. Honestly though, the best fix for this though is to:
A) Have an option in the Settings to toggle the Proximity chat to
1) Everyone
2) Friends Only
3) Off
Or
B) Have a mic sensor that will automatically mute your mice if it detects high levels coming from your mic.
I would prefer the first one myself, but I agree, it can be a hassle sometimes. Lets hope Bungie already has something planned for that.

I agree... I do find a few people annoying but that's not the majority of the cases I've run into. Maybe Bungie will listen.

Yeah overall gamers are easy to get a long with! And the occasional rude person could just be muted. And if you don't want the feature at all you could just toggle it off!

Also I think having a pretty short range on it would help too

Yeah exactly! It would be so much fun to meet people that way. I don't have many gaming friends but this would help a lot in populating my friends list haha. Bring this up in other threads so we can catch bungie's attention!
