Absolutely. Simple enough to just have a mute button so no one interrupts your experience, and be able to permanently block trolls. I don't know why proximity voice isn't a thing in more games. When Bungie brought this to Halo 2 on Xbox Live it was brilliant.

It seems like the ultimate social function to me. Especially in a game that supposed to be so multiplayer oriented. How was it implemented in halo 2? I only ever played that offline with my brother

How was it implemented? There was proximity voice so you could hear people near you in multiplayer.
