It's already confirmed there are 2 subclasses and that the extra slot is to lock one of your subclasses and then gain bonus xp and play around with the different upgrade and ability combinations. Also if you think I'm wrong go to your Grimore cards. Then go to subclasses, there are 8 Grimore cards... 2 cards for each of the 3 guardians subclasses then the remaining 2 are dead ghosts Grimore cards. Stop with this already

If that was true then why does a warlock use an arc super in the ign video with Luke smith to discuss the raids
-
Nothing was officially confirmed. Green only stated what happens when you lock in a subclass. Not what the blank spot was for. You can assume thait implies what you state. But nothing was officially confirmed so don't even. Also grimore cards are a poor mans proof. They have locations on the cards of places that are not confirmed as exploreable. Even if they were a great source bungie has said the beta/data mine wasn't all of destiny. So they very well could have hid the cards explaining the 3rd supers. I understand your frustration. But don't walk into the thread thinking your top dog when your post is nothing but smoke and mirrors.

Lol I'm 100% correct there are only 2 subclasses. I am top dog if you call it that it's been confirmed already not my fault half of this community is too stubborn to realize
-
Thank you for channelling all my thoughts into this one comment.

That was NOT. Confirmed by bungie. What WAS confirmed by bungie was that subclasses can be locked. Meaning: if there are only two subclasses, there should be four slots (not three) to accommodate two locked subclasses. And even then... It is entirely possible that there will be a third subclass. I'm not sold either way though.
-
The locked class fills the open box area everyone is stuck on. That becomes the 3/3 if you want to call it that. And it wouldn't make sense to have 4 boxes to lock both subclasses because you can only have 1 equipped at a time
-
But the point is that bungie said you can lock subclasses, and when you do, you get a fresh copy of it. So say I lock void walker. I get a second copy of void walker. 3/3 subclasses filled. But then I lock sun singer also.... 4/3 subclasses? No. This doesn't make sense. I understand you are trying to not psych yourself up over speculation, I get that. This theory, however, is pretty feasible.
-
Your changing your subclass and locking a different one. So why would the one you locked still be there if you are no longer using that subclass
-
I don't think you understand and it's kind of annoying.... 1 equiped, 2 slots one of the slots is secodn subclass.... that leaves ONE spare slot for ONE copy of a locked in subclass BUT if you lock in the SECOND subclass.... WHERE DOES THE NEW COPY GO? all slots are filled.
-
We'll think about it. You can only use 1 subclass at a time so probably when you lock in the other subclass it replaces the current locked one. Idk why everyone is stubborn about this. There is no 3 subclasses
-
When you locked a weapon in the beta, but then switched weapons, and leveled and locked it, then went back to the old weapon, was it now "unlocked"? No. SO why do you think that a subclass would become "unlocked" if you unequipped it? The whole reason to give you a second subclass is to play around with the same one, but by your way of thinking, you can't equip it without "unlocking" the one you currently are using. That makes no sense. When you Lock a subclass. it just locks the level, not locks it in as the only one you can equip.
-
This is a subclass were talking about not a weapon.
-
LOL why would you lock in if you're just gonna have to re level the exact same loadout?!?!?! also if it WERE to replace the one you locked in then theres a SPARE slot that's not even been used.....
-
Actually no it hasn't been confirmed... And whoever would actually believe that needs to rethink their view on common sense...
