Bayformers films aren't meant to be appreciated with any depth.
They are called popcorn flicks for a reason, you go watch the shooty shooty boom boom and eat some popcorn and that's it.

but then why not watch something that gives you an equal amount of special effects but with a [more] thoughtful storyline?! i don't get it. you can have your popcorn movie within most good movies, but for some reason people seem to want to support the movie that's exclusively a popcorn movie.

but what about movies like pacific rim, where it's got a bearable story and huge action set pieces? why does that struggle to break 400,000,000 worldwide while T4 makes a billion with the snap of its fingers?! whyyyyyy
