Definitely some nice points and made constructively, not just whining like so many posts I've checked out. As far as the water/invisible walls, I don't know why they didn't already just put in there "The Darkness is too powerful in this area, turn back", as the permeating Darkness is the perfect cover story for blocking off anywhere you can't go yet. What would be awesome is if they made it so we had some kind of group community events where we had to kill so many millions of certain creatures that were connected to the darkness when they do minor updates to add new areas/sections, so that the community has a sense of 'earning' the new content. I know many weren't fans of ME 3, but I enjoyed it, and the multiplayer in that did some interesting community events, that if you succeeded/failed it would change things for the following week/weeks til the next event. Altering things like the percentage of types of enemies in certain areas/missions. Would be awesome to see things like... damn, just realized I'm ranting and going off topic. Sorry I'm a train of thought/typing person. As far as the loot thing, were things dropping just because you were in proximity, or were you in a fireteam, and since you were part of that, it maybe counted kills by any of your teammates as if you were doing it too? As far as the pvp part goes, maybe it keeps track of your success through multiple sessions and eventually rewards you? While someone great at pvp increases their chance for loot drops an gets an item every 3rd match, maybe even bad players would still get one on their tenth match just for contributing? Just an idea... I'm betting the AI will be far better in the higher levels of difficulty, and I agree with some of the other posters that have already left comments, that the AI already does some clever things, and more realistically looks for you, instead of just you having a mystical bullseye on your head that sends out signals so the AI is always mowing you down. But I guess we'll see soon enough (but not soon enough in my opinion..haha) And about the socialization I agree it would be awesome if there is more interactivity (and I really think the full game will have far more available), as long as it is optional. Some people will not like the proxy chat, and such, so hopefully there is a disable/mute option for those that want it.

  • Mass Effect 3... Good memories on those community events. I remember one if them being lost and the online got harder. That really would be cool for Destiny! Maybe areas get a little more difficult or something. Post this idea as a full post. It deserves the spotlight! Can't believe I forgot about that!

  • Thoughtful comment about the darkness permeating the area; this would also give a covert story for later unlocking a new connected region... I.e. The guardians have been pushing back the darkness. Interestingly, an event might be that the darkness has attacked or launched an offensive and we have to come together to take back that region!

  • I don't think the AI will get better. I was looking at some Hell Mouth gameplay and other than damage, the AI didn't seem to have any upgrades. Especially in terms of tactics. Maybe you can argue that the lvl wasn't high enough, after all they were lvl 12 Knights. But they still were boring to fight. No tactics or thinking. Just aim, dodge powerful, yet extremely slow bullets and shoot. I admit that a lot of FPS play like this, but I just hope Destiny doesn't, because fighting AI like that is really boring. IMO anyway

  • I don't think anyone really knows for sure, but I believe the tactics and strategies of the AI will not only be better, but evolve not only when we get the full game of Destiny, but even beyond that. Bungie's already stated they'll have dedicated revolving teams working daily/weekly to make the world seem more alive. Everything from day/night cycles, climate/weather changes, daily/weekly events/scenarios... so why wouldn't they continue tweaking the AI and other things in the world as well? Not to mention we haven't even dealt with any of the other 2 announced races in the game which will I believe have their own unique tactics and strategies. I believe we will be far from bored by repetitive and/or dull AI, but then again maybe I'm just being overly optimistic. We will see soon enough (but as I've stated in other posts, nowhere soon enough as far as I'm concerned!)

  • I was happy also when I noticed the enemy AI wasn't able to see you in ways of simply a proximity bubble but needed a line of sight I also kinda liked how the different factions of enemies would fight amongst each other it really made being a hunter class feel legit being able to take advantage of my distracted prey hehehe

  • i was not in a fire team for the loot drop, and the thing about some people not wanting prox chat. those people can always mute the other players. thanks for the feedback!
