I'm not even sure I know what illumination is. That's not a term I've heard about this game. Not sure how the focus (foci?) work since we didn't have access to them. Might want to check Bungie videos for some info on that. Someone linked me to a Destiny wiki page, could try that.

The wiki isn't helpful. Illumination is the lock in choice at the very end of your subclass. Most people refer to it as locking in.

Ah, so like the weapon mod. Yeah, there was talk that it does save (lock ) your job choices and then spawns a new one. That makes sense. Say that someone locks in their choices, but then regrets it, they an level the new focus. So one should make that choice with care or be stuck relearning their skills.

There is plenty of talk about that but no one seems to have any proof of that being the case. Which is why i made the thread so someone could please link it. If no one can then that leaves me to hope there is a 3rd sub class.

While I can understand the logic; Each class has access to 2 of the 3 elements. It's highly unlikely there's a 3rd class at this time. Not saying it's not possible, but right now it's just 2. If not in an expansion perhaps the planned sequels.
