How is Israel not supposed to be security-oriented? Literally every neighbor it has has espoused hostile rhetoric/ attacked it at some point since 1948, many in conjunction with one another, and there are plenty that still openly call for its destruction.
If those aggressors think that breeds soft policy, they're absolutely daft

The ONLY war Israel has been in, that it did not start, was the Yom Kippur conflict. It is an aggressive regime that is just as hostile as it's neighbors.
