Cabin In The Woods is still a fantastic movie. Not so much on the horror aspect. But because it is Joss Whedon's love letter to the golden age of horror.

Yeah but it was more or less a satire on the genre. The original Evil Dead movies are a lot more raw. There's dismember and such in them. The new one was a lot more gory.
