Whenever my throwing knife hit, it either did massive damage or killed the enemy.

I have no problem with the shotgun, just think the Throwing Knife needs to be able to instakill too if I precision strike someone. otherwise what is the point of having it at all? i'll just use a shotgun as my secondary. It shoots faster and I don't have a slow cooldown...

You can use a throwing knife from farther away though, and it's quicker than switching weapons.

From what I've heard, some fusion rifles are instakill too but I never experienced it. Some of those fusion rifles have really good range. Also, class ability with a cool down. By all means it shouldn't be out performed by uncommon and common items, maybe if the shotgun was rare, then I'd agree with you.

Touché sir. I had forgotten that you add burn DoTs and stuff. Hopefully you are right. Like I said in the post, I will be fine with whatever the result ends up being.

Throwing knife is just a long range melee that knocks enemy heads off if it would already kill them. Treat it like a melee attack in Halo and it's perfect.
