Personally I think making the hand cannons reload faster would make them more attractive as a primary. As they were in the beta, they were like the scout rifles but with shorter range, less ammo, and much longer reload. The only good reason to use them is to feel cool getting close range head shots. Lessening that reload time could be a step in the right direction.

Right, but these close range headshots took special attention to placement, and positioning. You cannot play the same as you play with a rifle, and you can (If skilled enough) turn this into a powerful, almost one shot kill. Everything i just described is synonymous with the special weapons slot. Shotguns and fusion rifles are both this way, as are snipers. They dont play like versatile primaries, they dont look like primaries, they dont feel like primaries, they dont balance with primaries, and most importantly, they are in essence a very powerful pistol. Which in all respect, needs to be a special weapon.I love that we at least both agree that hand cannons are in a bad spot, i just think no matter what you do, they will be more powerful or less powerful, due to the difference in feel.
