They're most likely never going to add a trading system, so this post was just a waste of time man

It was already in the works. It could return again in the future. The purpose was to generate discussion and debate, which it has succeeded in doing so mate.
-
It wasn't in the works, they were just considering (leaning towards a yes) implementing it some time after launch. It seems their perspective has changed on the matter.

That's still considered "in the works." The idea was there. It very well could have been tested in private. Regardless the idea is scrapped for now, but it can always make a reappearance in a future patch.

Well if they do continue with it, that would be an idiotic move. Earn your guns. Don't just get them from a friend or some random person. I intend on completing all the legendary missions and all the missions on the hardest difficulty just to show how good i am lol

You obviously aren't familiar with bound items...

My other post gets the general gist of what I'd say here without having to constantly retype it:

While I can see why people would dislike such a system, I've provided explanations in other replies as to why it can be beneficial and have suggested balancing solutions. The overall motive is to create a peer-to-peer social system to add to the tower that enhances a guardian's ability to help another guardian as well as himself/herself battle the darkness. Yes items are meant to be earned, but they still have to be earned with a trading system in play. You can't trade to get all of your items needed. There will constantly be more loot cycled through vendors as well as better gear found through exploration. The rarer the loot, the less likely it'll be traded as it'll be a one of a kind weapon.

You need loot to trade loot. Trading loot earns you new loot to adventure into the unknown and earn better loot. Hehe, loot.
