By adding a trading system you would open the game up to a whole gambit of other issues, spammers, gold sellers, accounts hacked and striped of all items, duping, and I am sure there are more I am forgetting. I feel the system they have in place is the best one for the game.

  • I haven't proposed the idea of gold sellers as it has it's own economy (glimmer). This is entirely based on peer to peer action trading loot. If people wanted to hack another player's account, they would do so regardless. Duping could be a glitch regardless of a trading system. Even so, the game is online 24/7 and monitored by Bungie. They'd patch any glitches found within any aspect/area of Destiny.

Many if not all of these issues can be dealt with: Gold sellers: Make gold (glimmer) account of player bound, that way it can't be traded or sold. Accounts hacked and striped of all items: If players want to do this, they will do regardless if trading is implemented or not. Duping: I'm pretty sure the game is always connected to the servers - it is essentially an always online game, which makes duping difficult or impossible, but even if it was a thing, just make high quality items bop, this way players could never dupe any of the top gear.
