The point of the game is to become legend by EARNING not trading you way to legend.
OP perhaps you should should pursue a career with the Merchants Guild ;)

You see, the thing is, your not going to trade your way to legend. To become legend you need legendary things and someone isn't going to give you something legendary for a non-legendary thing. I think you need to look up the definition of trading.

I never said I wasnt going to earn stuff, in order to get legendary weapons you need to do the process that you just stated. now lets say you run across someone who has a legendary you want and you have a legendary they want (I know this is rare). instead of you both walking away you could make it easier for both of you and trade those weapons.
