I really don't think they need to balance the heavy weapons . Because they are suppose to be heavy killing op wepons. I have been killed and used both. For me it took 5 to 6 shots to kill someone with the machine gun. It might be your aim. For the rocket launcher it has splash and impact damage. Making it deadly. Soo I think they are both the same deadly killing machines. It takes skill and practice to use them. So chose what you want and stick to it

  • Appreciate you considering my aim, I tried to disclaim that I'm not some nubcake but hey that's cool. If at point blank range I can't remove you from the moon with a heavy then its not aim. It could very well be the latency issue I've / others have reported and it needs more testing. Bulletsponges shouldn't exist just like four punch teleporting players shouldn't either, but they do. I am not at all looking to nerf one, I want to make sure the machine gun is on the same devastation level as the launcher. I'll continue testing as thats what I feel the beta is for. Evaluating issues and after a number of crucible rounds last nights the impression I got was these two weapons were not within the same proximity. I'll test again today. Also note launcher splash will not kill you, its a two shot splash damage kill, otherwise a 1 hit kill if you hit the scrub. Unlike the devil walker whose splash damage can wipe everyone in proximity.

  • I agree on the devil walker. I hate that thing soo much. I sure you that bungie has made all the wepons on the same level. And I have not experienced any issues with this game. I believe that it is just easier to go with what you want because that the guns are in the same devastation level
