thanks at 49% now. I just let it continue

The ps4 release snagged when everyone went to bungie servers for Dl codes then again when they went to ps store to download. First wave just got booted until they managed to connect an the Dl went pretty quick, later joiners seemed to have much slower downloads. Anyway, worth the wait.
