I love the souls series, I don't think any game will beat out dark souls for my favorite game ever. However, I find dark souls 2 disappointing. It's not to day it's a bad game, it just could have lived up to more. It's definitely focused on pvp with its weak and unengaged storyline. You feel no emotions for any of the npcs as you did with solaire or pretty much any npc in the original 2 games. However I love the controls and game play for the second. Just my opinion here however. I've beaten the second twice and will be getting all the dlc as I am and forever will be a fan of the souls series.
