[b][i][u]SAVE BEFORE ENTERING BATTLE!![/u][/i][/b]
Try a quick ball first. It'll probably fail, but worth a shot. Then, get it's health down. If it gets really low, use false swipe. It'll keep him from fainting, but put him on 1 HP. Give him a status affect, just as long as it is not poison. Then, [u][i]spam the crap out of every poke ball you have![/i][/u]. This method got me two Mewtwos and a Victini. If you cock it up, turn it off and you'll restart from where you saved: right in front of Rayquaza.

You could get some EXP shares at the game corner. I found that training on the route southeast of Forttree city trained them quite well.

Ow and the good thing is, I play with an gba emulator on my iPod where I can save my states whenever I want lel \(0.0)/
