I prefer satan's rules. He seems like a cool guy I could get behind.

  • >Using the old testament Good one. Try this one
Matthew 5:43-44 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
Or this one
John 8:7 “And as they continued to ask him, he stood up and said to them, ‘Let him who is without sin among you be the first to throw a stone at her.’”
Or how about this one?
John 13:34-35 “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you are also to love one another.
I view the old testament more as a history book, to show the history of the religion and what lead up to Jesus. It's not meant to be used as a guideline to live by. That's what the new testament does.

    Aside from the obvious contradictions, where does it say to ignore the old testament or that it is just a metaphor? Or do you just pick and choose which part of your fairy tales to believe?
