Right, that's why the video game industry exists. For storytelling.
There are these things called movies. You sobbing teenage girls might be interested in looking into them. Or just keep holding that deathgrip on the one lone crutch you have to defend 343's horrible work to this point.

Edited by kgj: 7/14/2014 5:27:14 PM*shrug* i've always played games for their storytelling. i think it's a fascinating medium to tell stories through. few games actually do make use of the strengths of the medium [(whisper)and i think the halo series, and halo 4 are some of them(/whisper)] but when they do, they're great. i do like movies though. and novels. so naturally i do like 343's work for the audiovisuals and stories that they tell [mostly (*eyes KT and reed*)].
but mrr46 i don't think i need to tell you that i'm not under the illusion that 343 is perfect, or that storytelling/audiovisuals excuse gameplay faults in a series so rooted in its gameplay.
The jimmies tend to rustle themselves these days whenever I post.

>implies that I'm a 343 Fanboy >Yet I only liked the campaign in Halo 4 Your logic don't check out mate. And if storytelling doesn't matter in a video game then games like The Last Of Us wouldn't even be praised as much as they are now. Gameplay is more important than story but if you want a successful game with single player- you need to have a decent story, and good gameplay.

Yeah that death-grip where we like Halo 4 but criticize Spartan Ops and dislike Kilo-5. GG.

I wouldn't go as far to say, "horrible."

343 is to game design what Bungie is to website design. Heyoooo!
