Personally, I don't like many of the rules.
Too strict for my taste.

The rules are directly adapted from PolandBall rules. They also help unify the community.
-
The rules help provide a specific feel and environment for Bungieball to exist in. Without them, Bungieball can lose it's unique feel and cease to be Bungieball.
-
Let it be known that if I ever make one of these and Vien's in it, his eyes won't be purely white. They'll look like Sangheili eyes.
-
Then it won't be a Bungieball comic. First it's the eyes, then it's the helmet. Next thing you know people are putting on limbs. Soon enough it's not even recognizable as Bungieball. The rules exist for a reason.
-
It may not be in the group, but if I post it to Offtopic and label it Bungieball, with only minor changes to your rules, people will still treat it as a Bungieball comic.

Edited by DE4THINC4RN4TE: 7/14/2014 10:09:59 AMAt that point it's just considered a dick move to do so. I could go label a spam thread as the Weekly Update, but that doesn't make it a Weekly Update. Bungieball is about more than just individual comics, it's about the group as well. Following the rules and buildings stories around them is an integral part of the whole idea of building a continuum.

Your rules are beneath me. If I'm gonna' make something to entertain others, I'm gonna' do it the way I want. Same goes for everyone else who makes a Bungieball comic. Sorry, man. I never was good at following rules without question. I prefer to manipulate things to my liking. I can be abrupt, arrogant, and although I practice empathy, I also practice apathy. Have a nice day. :)

Edited by DE4THINC4RN4TE: 7/14/2014 11:15:06 AMThat might work in your own private little world, but the real world chews up people with that attitude and spits them right back out. If you want to exclude yourself from the activities because of your ego, then go ahead. No one is stopping you. You'll be missed.
-
Sorry, but I plan to stay involved. Whether you accept it or not matters little.
-
The activity revolves around the group. If you refuse to follow the rules and play nice I will kick you from said group. It's that simple.
-
Oh, the group. I don't care about that. Before you bother checking, I haven't joined. I very rarely bother with groups. As long as I can make comics and see others' comics in Offtopic, all is well.
-
Bungieball is centered around the group itself. It's not a parody of Polandball, it's a parity of /r/Polandball. By not participating in the group you are by definition not creating Bungieball. You may see them, you may try to create your own style of comic, but the only one who will think it is a true Bungieball comic is you.
-
I've seen people post comics outside of your group, and not following all of your rules. Nobody said anything along the lines of, "This isn't Bungieball 'cause it's breaking the rules". Only laughs and conversation. Why are you even trying anymore, honestly?
-
The vast majority of comics are put in the group and at least attempt to follow the rules. The one I could find outside the group linked to a thread back to another thread within the group. Bungieball is group centered. It's fairly obvious. As for why I keep "trying": You keep replying to my thread, in my group, stating you are going to purposefully break rules meant to keep the quality of the group high.... for some reason.
-
I think I've seen two outside the group actually. Not that it really matters. Because many don't like your rules. It wouldn't be the first time I've bent others' rules to my liking. I do it regularly. XD
-
Edited by DE4THINC4RN4TE: 7/14/2014 12:15:05 PMMany? Try a select few. The vast majority are happy to play by the rules, as evidenced by Plasma Eagle's thread containing a massive amount of people. You can "bend [my] rules regularly" all you want, just not in my group. You'll essentially be going over the speed limit on private property, then walking over to the police station to brag about it. When it comes down to it, if it's not in the group and following the rules, it's not Bungieball.
-
Many complain. Whether you want to believe that is irrelevant. Except that it will be. #dealwithit
-
Edited by DE4THINC4RN4TE: 7/14/2014 12:28:10 PMComparing it to the number who don't and you'll find that it's not a big issue. Also what is with this "#DealWithIt" and "I am above your rules" shtick you got going on? You're acting like an emotionally unstable teen.
-
Nah. It just makes people mad. People hate it when others are arrogant.
-
They're not oppressive rules, dude. There just has to be a set way to draw and present these things otherwise it's whatever and it loses its style.
-
It needs to be a bit more lenient. I understand that it must be a ball shape. But certain characters like Vien or other Sangheili members should be allowed to have different eyes. I'm not asking for much. Just a little bit here and there really.
-
And with no real good reason.

Agreed.
