Support Assad. Supporting extremists will never benefit a country. Look at what the arab spring has caused, it has destabilised so many countries. Fcking idiots

I said this from the outset <.< But noooooo just because he's a dictator means that he must be utterly evil and deposed no matter the cost! *sigh*

  • I don't even have a problem with Assad. Before the current war I never saw anything about Assad treating his citizens badly.

prior to the war a lot of Western leaders were hopeful that Bashar al-Assad would take the country in a different direction than his father, Hafez (who slaughtered thousands in Hama in 1982).

Yup, if the arab spring had never kicked off then Syria would be fine right now. Sure they'd have some grievances but everyone has them about the country they live in. But I'm pretty sure if they knew what the -blam!- they were letting themselves in for then they would have stayed off the streets and got on with their lives.

Interestingly enough there are a lot of those taking that position (despite Mr. Assad's alleged atrocities) mainly from looking at the utter failure of places like Libya
