THEORY: Any group, organization, or community that allows itself to be co-opted will ultimately see a decline in their progress, suffer extreme humiliation, and die in a incredibly embarrassing and shameful manner. You see people making these predictions all the time with other groups. You got the Tea Part Movement in the GOP, you have Atheism+, but none have actually met their demise just yet, until now. Tumblr and the Social Justice Movement is the first example to prove this theory right, and the most shameful thing about the death of this movement was that the last pebble they used as the ground beneath their feet fell from their own undoing. They killed themselves, and one of them literally.
Interesting theory. But I doubt that Tumblr "progressives" are going anywhere. Even with getting their ass BTFO for their shitty attempt at trolling, of all things not to troll, 4chan. Though I really wish this would happen to the -blam!-ing Tea Party. I'm just so -blam!-ing tired about hearing how Obama is trying to crown himself the the first Kenyan, Muslim, Socialist, Communist King so that he can steal all the red blooded American's money and give it to undeserving minorities so they can lounge on their asses all day long drinking wine coolers. That and their shitty stances on pretty much every issue I can think of off the top of my head as well as their radical nature that lead to a government shutdown. inb4Gaara says it was the fault of both parties.
No. The Healthcare law was already passed, and at that point everyone already knew it was a shitty piece of legislation that isn't going to help shit, and both sides threw a tantrum. This idea that the Democrats did no wrong is a steaming pile of Sahagin Shit.
This idea that the Democrats did no wrong is a steaming pile of Sahagin Shit.
They didn't. Except for the ones that didn't back Obama 100%, they did wrong.
With tons of people losing theirs at the same time.
I'm not getting into this with you. The reasons those people are losing their healthcare isn't because Obamacare is bad. In fact, the people losing their healthcare and saying they can't be covered anymore don't even go to the ACA page to try and get covered.
"If you don't support every bill we pass 100% of the way, we're going to use the media to slander you out of existence." - The Democrats
"If you don't cater to special interest groups and big business, we're going to shut down the government." - The Republicans
You mean the ones that saw how bad Obamacare really is? INCLUDING the one the wrote the bill himself? Pffffftttt.
There's nothing bad about Obamacare. It could use improving, but it's a great system. Your opinion is irrelevant because it's already been enacted. Not to mention I'm talking about the shutdown, not Obamacare.

 •
>Comparing a shitty healthcare law that has been lauded by both parties to a house Methew plz
I'm not comparing the law to a house, only the fact that the Tea Party was making an unreasonable demand: The gutting of the entire bill with no alternative. There was and is no effort being made by them to fix the bill or introduce something better. They just want to go back to the old status quo where we have millions of uninsured, constantly rising premiums going to line the CEO's pockets, and where a significant number, if not most, bankruptcies are due to medical bills even when the person has insurance. Lord knows that the ACA has problems. But nothing is being done to fix said problems or work on a better solution because the fight is still about the bill being in or out. Meanwhile shit is just getting cut to placate and it's making the end product worse. I can only buy the arguement that Democrats and the Tea Partists were playing a game of chicken if Tea Partists actually attempted a compromise and Democrats refused.
