They did say that the Vault of Glass (assuming that's what this is) was an end-game challenge that holds the ultimate rewards. I assume that there will be multiple raids that have great rewards but the Vault of Glass will be the hardest one with some kind of super powerful items at the end.

they did say that...but I'm guessing that the first raid they have won't be the hardest...they will need to continue to challenge the player base with new content that is hard even with vault of glass gear

LOL -- I'll bet the giant Colonel Sanders Boss catches the Guardians that try to enter the Vault Of Glass, coats them in flour and special herbs and drop them in a deep fryer - where they spend an eternity waiting to re-spawn.
