Damn, is hating on Michael Bay the cool and edgy thing to do nowadays? Is he the new Shyamalan?

Bay produces escapism, nothing more. At least he doesn't try to be something he's not. If you want tryhard 2deep4u fedoracore shlock then crawl back to Nolan. Meanwhile, I'll keep on enjoying my 2 hour CGI spectacles.
Also, he isn't "ruining" your childhood. Ruining your childhood would be Bay retconning the entire TMNT universe. Be thankful he isn't doing that.

Oh no doubt. I'm just getting sick of people grasping at the straws for things to complain about him, and expecting anything deeper than an action blockbuster from him. At this point if you're expecting the Next Citizen Kane from Bay then you're in for some bad news.

I don't care about Shyamalan's other works. What he did to the Avatar series,will forever make me hate him with the utmost passion. So...many...wrongs.

I kind of wish he could make films that aren't about some of my favourite things from childhood, because suddenly douchebags think Transformers is cool, and don't understand anything about it, but I still have to listen to the babble about how great they are. Also, Bay and Shyamalan have both always fallen under the category of "relies too heavily on a single technique"

Basically, they were both good starting off, but have now been relegated to Eternal B-Movie directors. Maybe a good popcorn flick at best.

Yay, more bs reasons to hate on Nolan. Why has Nolan become associated with fedora (When It used to be a term for describing "edgy atheists" or general beta men) just because he has a thing for making movies with a series tone.
