I wonder what happens if you die. Also can other players attack you since they pop in randomly?

Edited by LecomingBegend: 6/24/2014 7:52:36 PMIt has been confirmed that when you die you start on another planet. Players don't pop in randomly, yet I wouldn't trust anyone you meet. Be wary, others will look out for their interests. They will probably kill you and take everything you have with you.

Hmm hopefully there is some kind of storage system so you only lose what's on you. Similar to minecraft I guess.

They can only take what you have with you. How could they take what isn't there?
-
I'm not sure I love the idea of storage that remains after the player dies, but it does make me wonder: how much will carry over when we respawn on another world? Will anything at all, or will we have to start all over again? As much pain as it'll cause, I'm pulling for a square one restart every time I die.

Why don't you think others should be able take what you had on you if they kill you? It has been confirmed that when you respawn you start with nothing. Square 1 restart confirmed

Oh, pillaging I'm fine with. Not sure I plan on doing it, but there wouldn't be much of a reason for PvP without it. Pirating other players needs to be in the game. I just don't like the idea of farming a bunch of resources during one life so that it carries over to the next one. That'd make scarcity a little less threatening. I like having to scramble for resources when I respawn.

The need to scramble for resources after every spawn is confirmed. I doubt you can store resources anywhere, even if you could store them you'd probably never get back to that planet anyway.

Others will definitely take your things when you die (items, resources, they might even take your ship and hide it somewhere). You will always have to scavenge when you respawn. Remember you will spawn on another planet.
