First let me admit that I didn't get a chance to play the Alpha. However I did watch as many videos as I could and read as much as I could. The one thing I noticed is that weapons and armor seem to be balanced around PVP. I'm not a big PvP guy, so I'm wondering if what appears to be PvP weapon and armor balancing is going to weigh down the Pve game. Just take a look at my link and you will see that the stats are pretty static across levels. I'm not too concerned as this was just an alpha build, but with the races being cosmetic, I hope the armor and weapons don't turn out to be cosmetic as well. Thoughts?

Guns and gear are nerfed in PvP so it is all about who is more skilled with the controller. You do keep passive stats such as faster reloading, etc... Also if you have leveled up your super and grenades, you use those in PvP. The only thing I see of PvP weighing down the PvE is the fact that Bungie has come out and said that it will only take a few hours to hit the level cap in Destiny. PvP was stated as one of the reasons for the level cap being low. This is so that new players don't have to grind to be able to play with/against their buddies that are at max level because hitting max level opens up higher levels of PvP along with harder strikes and raids.

I was able to hold my ground in PvP at level 5 against level 8s. And before you tell me how small that level difference is, you haven't played a strike yet...
