I think they would have been better off making it a new IP. The home front name carries a lot of negative baggage.

Well they wanted Korea to attack USA, so what else do you want them to do?

Nah. If they're gonna have a continuation of the aftermath of the attack on USA by Korea, makes sense to make it a sequel to Homefront, so that you wouldn't have to make two games, one of them essentially being a remake of Homefront...
