I just want it to end soon. Which probably won't happen because the modern day story progresses very little...

I don't really care about it. But I would like to see how it ends. And Ubisoft cares about it, so it doesn't matter if we do. They're going to continue making it.

They said they're focusing less on the modern day stuff because people didn't like it IIRC.
