I've decided to go through Halo 4 on Legendary (finally). Does anyone have any tips a/o tricks to make it easier?

Edited by Neighbor: 6/24/2014 3:39:04 PMI beat that by myself in one day. There are very few parts that are challenging. Just look up legendary run throughs on YouTube you'll have it finished in a few hours.
-
yea... it is by far the easiest of all the halo games, you can skip several major parts without even firing a bullet.
-
Halo 4 is the easiest Halo to play through on Legendary. If you've finished any other Halo on Legendary already then you have nothing to worry about.
-
it isn't a hard game to begin with
-
2 RepliesEven easier? Christ, just don't be incompetent?

1 Replylook up how to skip the hardest parts especially the gondola rides dear god

The only part I actually had a problem with, was when you have to defend the door in the jungle level. On that part, you have to hop on the turrets. That's all I can suggest.

2 RepliesKnights with their forerunner sniper rifles are a bitch. Watch out for those guys. It's really not that bad. Easier than Reach solo Legendary imo.
-
Plasma pistols and a carbine are a good strategy for some of the locations.
-
It's not terribly hard as it was in previous games; just pick off as many enemies as possible from far away, and use vehicles to your advantage.

There are hidden weapon caches scattered throughout the campaign that make ammo management a lot easier. I've tested the one in the linked video myself in-game, and it works. Just search "Halo 4 hidden weapons campaign" in Google and you should find a bunch of videos. Also, have Auto Sentry equipped as often as possible.

Wing it

Try to run certain avoidable parts and stay stocked on ammo and grenades. Also I did not do it with friends so try that

Run ignore enemys run.

Halo 4 is the easiest Halo game ever to speed run. It's not even funny. Just look up speedrun videos on YouTube.

Don't die.

It's the only game I've been able to beat on legendary without getting so mad that I quit to never return to it again.

3 RepliesI broke my laptop on the last mission. :^(

2 RepliesBack when In my prime, halo 4 had better Spops (spartan ops) options, they didn't have skulls turned on when you played the public matches. I studied enemies and weapons in Spops, and my mastery of dmr and magnum and head shots on all enemies was a success.

3 RepliesMy guide book taught me everything. Best tip: always keep a headshot weapon with you.
-
3 RepliesAlways kill the watchers first. Use Promethean weapons on Prometheans. I personally like to use the suppressor to drop the shields on the knights and then used a procession weapon to finish them off. Head shots on crawlers too.
-
If you wanna get past it you have to turn on all skulls otherwise it won't let you beat it.
not true
When a lightrifle is available, use it. Always have a headshot weapon where possible, and have a punching bag ready for the third mission. The part where you have to shut down the second pylon is rage city. The banshees fly to where your ghost can't shoot them and bombard you from an impossible angle, and the ghosts drive under your banshee and shoot directly up, which you can't counter. Remember: elites with storm rifles or carbines are the most op enemies you will encounter in game, Prometheans can be dispatched easily with a lightrifle at long range or a scattershot up close. Beware of snipers. Also, it is immensely satisfying shooting dead enemies with forerunner weapons that decompose them. TL;DR: You'll learn quickly what to do, and where.

If I wish it was done right away go speed run it, go to Halo 4 Legendary speed run and follow their every step
